This project took place in the Summerfield neighborhood of Indianapolis and it was one of those jobs where the floor did not just look dirty. It looked worn out. The interior brick floor had years of buildup from foot traffic, spills, and old coatings that had darkened unevenly over time. Regular mopping had stopped making any difference.

This medical facility in Indianapolis called because their tile floors were starting to work against them. The building was clean, staff stayed on top of daily maintenance, and patients were coming and going like normal. But the grout lines told a different story. Darkened traffic paths. Uneven color. Areas that never quite looked clean no matter how often they were mopped.

I was contacted by a homeowner in Indianapolis who wanted her slate kitchen floor to look bright and rich again before hosting guests. She told me the slate had slowly become dull over the years and the grout lines had darkened from everyday foot traffic.
